The Extraordinary General Meeting of The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya) has approved a 50% increase in capital to SAR 2.25 billion from SAR 1.5 billion. The expansion will be funded by capitalizing SAR 750 million from retained earnings, issuing one bonus share for every two shares currently held by investors. The eligibility record date has been fixed for early September 2026.

In response to the capital adjustment, the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) recalculated Tawuniya's daily price fluctuation limit based on an adjusted reference share price of SAR 90.65, while all pending market orders were canceled. The newly issued bonus shares will be deposited into shareholder portfolios through Edaa prior to the resumption of trading.

Capitalizing retained earnings into equity strengthens Tawuniya's capital framework, supporting long-term commercial expansion and solvency cushions in the competitive Saudi insurance sector. Investors typically view bonus share issues as a signal of management confidence in future financial growth.
