SGX FX, the currency trading division of the Singapore Exchange, has expanded its integration with BlackRock's Aladdin investment management platform. Through this enhanced connection, shared institutional clients will be able to execute foreign exchange trades using BidFX, the SGX FX execution engine, directly within their existing Aladdin workflows.
The strategic move addresses institutional demand for seamless, integrated execution and portfolio management systems. SGX FX previously reported a 33.1% year-over-year surge in average daily volume to $190.2 billion for the 12 months ending June, alongside a 12% increase in net revenue, underscoring strong demand from institutional buy-side participants.
This expanded link is designed to reduce operational friction, optimize order routing, and provide liquidity access across multiple currency products. Investors and institutional traders will watch how this partnership drives trading volume and impacts liquidity distribution across global institutional FX venues.
