CMC Markets has announced a new integration allowing UK clients to connect their CFD accounts directly to ChatGPT. The service provides read-only access, enabling traders to ask the chatbot for real-time information such as account balances, current open positions, pending orders, and price quotes. By restricting the connection to read-only status, the broker ensures that the AI assistant cannot execute, alter, or cancel trades, nor initiate fund transfers.
CMC Markets said today (Thursday) that UK clients can connect their CFD accounts to ChatGPT and query balances, positions, orders and prices. The link is read-only, so the chatbot cannot place, change or cancel orders, or move money. That puts the FTSE 250 broker at the cautious end of a field that filled up quickly this year.
