Moscow Exchange (MOEX) announced plans to introduce 20 new perpetual futures contracts benchmarked to major U.S. equities, including Tesla, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, AMD, Robinhood, and Coinbase. The cash-settled derivatives rely on dollar-denominated price fixings calculated independently by MOEX, with all settlements conducted entirely in Russian rubles without interacting with foreign financial infrastructure.

The launch responds to surging investor demand for perpetual derivatives in Russia, where open interest has expanded by 36% year-over-year to exceed 450 billion rubles ($6 billion). Trading in the new contracts will roll out in two phases on September 8 and September 15, 2026, offering institutional and professional traders exposure to price movements in top global tech firms.

By leveraging its internal price fixing methodology established in July 2026, MOEX continues to build parallel derivative structures following similar product launches linked to foreign exchange and U.S. equity indices like SPY and QQQ. Market participants will monitor liquidity levels and pricing efficiency across these ruble-settled offshore-linked instruments.
