Proprietary trading firm FTMO announced that it distributed over $14.4 million in rewards to approximately 7,100 traders during the month of September. This performance pushes the Prague-based company's reported cumulative payouts above the $650 million threshold. Over the past 12 months, FTMO has paid out more than $200 million, maintaining a monthly average near $16 million. The indicative average reward per trader for September stood at approximately $2,030, based on rounded company disclosures.
The September payout figures represent a slight pullback of about 5% compared to August, when high seasonal trading volume drove distributions above $15.2 million across more than 7,500 payouts. Despite the minor month-over-month decline, the firm's growth trajectory remains strong, having added roughly $200 million in cumulative rewards since reaching its $450 million milestone during its tenth anniversary in September 2025. FTMO noted that the United Kingdom, Vietnam, and Germany led its trader leaderboard in recent months.
While these figures reflect expanding activity within the prop trading industry, analysts point out that these metrics remain self-reported without audited public verification. Under the prop trading model, participants trade in simulated environments after completing evaluation challenges, receiving payouts based on virtual performance while the firm operates without taking customer deposits. Industry observers will be watching whether prop trading volume continues to normalize or picks up heading into the final quarter of the year.
