Binance has expanded its traditional finance (TradFi) offerings by introducing options on over 1,000 selected US stocks and ETFs for eligible non-US users. The product is launched in partnership with US-registered broker-dealer Alpaca Securities LLC, with order routing handled via Binance’s Abu Dhabi entity, Nest Trading Limited, which holds an ADGM licence. Orders will be executed, cleared, and settled by Alpaca, expanding Binance's existing suite of direct stock trading, tokenised securities, and equity-linked perpetual futures.
This strategic move underscores a broader shift within the crypto industry toward creating comprehensive multi-asset platforms that integrate traditional and digital assets under a single account interface. Binance reported that its TradFi perpetual futures volume reached approximately $433.4 billion in August 2026, marking a 15-fold increase compared to January. Trading in stock options will follow standard US market hours, providing global retail investors in emerging and international markets with direct exposure to traditional equity derivatives.
Looking ahead, the integration of traditional financial instruments into crypto-native infrastructure is expected to increase market liquidity and competition among global brokerage platforms. Investors should watch for regulatory developments regarding cross-border derivative offerings, institutional adoption of multi-asset trading applications, and potential expansions of trading hours and covered equities.
