Fintech firm Capitolis has appointed Murugan Manickam as its new Chief Technology Officer. Manickam joins the company after spending 17 years at Bank of America, where he served as Managing Director and Global Head of FICC Macro Trade Management and Emerging Markets Technology. In his new role, he will report directly to Capitolis President Okan Pekin and oversee the firm's global engineering organization, data systems, and artificial intelligence strategy.

This executive transition marks a strategic move from a major sell-side bank to a technology provider focused on bank infrastructure. Capitolis specializes in portfolio optimization across foreign exchange, fixed income, rates, and credit, offering solutions that reduce capital and operational costs for over 100 institutional clients. Manickam's deep understanding of dealer workflows and emerging market infrastructure is expected to enhance Capitolis' integration capabilities and product resilience.

Looking ahead, Manickam will drive the next phase of tech execution at Capitolis as the platform scales its bank-facing infrastructure. Meanwhile, former engineering lead Amos Arev will remain with the company as Executive Vice President and General Manager for Israel, ensuring continuity in product development and engineering operations.
